On the way to Tonle Sap Lake we passed a field of lotus blossoms.

A closer look at the blossoms.

More pink blossoms.

Lotus flowers and a small building on the side of the road.

An empty seasonal restaurant.

Another view of the restaurant. The floor looked like it needed to be reinforced.

Pushing off in a boat for Tonle Sap Lake where you can see The Floating Village.

A docked river boat like the one we rode in.

A home floats on the water.

More homes on the river.

A boy ready to go fishing.

A man and a boy in a boat.

I wish this one hadn't come out blurry. A boy and a fishing net.

Checking the nets.

Fishermen gather on a beach.

Other boats zoom toward us.

A small wood boat on the beach.

A couple paddles in a boat.

Looking at the lake shore.

A fisherman.

Another fisherman.

The water in the lake was very muddy and it didn't look like water you would want to fish in.

A first view of The Floating Village in the distance.

A cluster of boats floating together.

Boat traffic.

Hap answers questions for Patricia.

The floating village we were told is actually largely made up of Vietnamese refugees not Cambodians.

Another passing motor boat.

A closer view od some of the homes.

More homes.

Two people haul a load of fruit in a boat.

The homes vary in size and color.

A boat is held above the water with tree branches.

Boat docks.

Looking at a row of homes. There is plenty of pace between home clusters so that boats can go by without disturbing them too much.

Homes and boats.

Life on the boats.

A home that looks pretty well kept.

Children go for a swim.

Blankets and a tin roof.
